What we're looking for

We need help with the smooth running of our guided walks programme. From history walks to nature walks, we want visitors to Lake Vyrnwy to immerse themselves in the beauty that surround them, learning a little about this special place along the way.

The skills you need

Good natural history knowledge, an interest in nature or a specialism in certain flora or fauna and a desire to help people. Enthusiasm is key! Outgoing personality with reasonable knowledge of wildlife and good communication skills.

Your time

Minimum:
1 or 2 days per week, mostly weekends

What's in it for you?

To learn more about the reserve and enjoy the great outdoors, plus the opportunity to meet many people of different ages, backgrounds and knowledge levels. Some walks will involve leading groups onto parts of the reserve not usually open to the public. The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work.
