What we're looking for

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic residential volunteer who is a good all rounder, willing to be flexible and get involved in lots of different activities! From events planning and helping with recruitment, to visitor experience and serving customers, this role will give you a fantastic experience of what working with visitors is like on a nature reserve with a busy visitor operation. You will have the opportunity to work with the visitor experience staff on projects that will improve connections with nature (for example, maintaining a mini-beast jungle and wildlife garden), helping art sessions for children, and, to a lesser extent, helping with the retail and catering operations to help deliver great conservation, fundraising and a high quality visitor experience.

The skills you need

We need a flexible person who wants to learn the about working with the public in a visitor centre. You will have an enthusiasm for wildlife and passion for the RSPB's work. A friendly disposition is a must, and a full clean driving licence is desirable. You must be aged 18 or over.
