What we're looking for

A challenge, lots of fun, the chance to contribute to RSPB Wildlife Explorers (the junior membership of the RSPB). Young people are tomorrow's conservationists. The RSPB has over 90 RSPB Wildlife Explorers groups across the UK.

The skills you need

RSPB Wildlife explorer groups are for youngsters aged 7 to 12 and you will be responsible to running the group and coordinating other adults who support you as assistant leaders. Therefore good organisational skills and the ability to inspire all ages to have a passion for the natural environment. The RSPB run comprehensive training on running a group which you would be expected to attend during your first year. Typically RSPB Wildlife Explorers groups meet fortnightly or monthly with a programme of indoor and outdoor events. With preparation time, you will need 8-10 hours a month.
