What we're looking for

A challenge, lots of fun, the chance to contribute to RSPB Wildlife Explorers (the junior membership of the RSPB). Young people are tomorrow's conservationists. The RSPB has over 90 RSPB Wildlife Explorers groups across the UK and our London flagship reserve needs an assistant leader willing to help main leader prepare sessions and in some cases run them.... The group is a friendly family based club with children in the 7 - 9 age group.

The skills you need

In the South Eastern area we are currently in need of people with boundless energy and enthusiasm. to help run Wildlife Explorers groups for youngsters 8 - 12. The ability to communicate with young people being more important than being a wildlife expert. As a leader you will learn all about nature from being more involved first hand with the environment. Typically RSPB Wildlife Explorers groups meet fortnightly or monthly with a programme of indoor and outdoor events. With preparation time, you will need is about 4-5 hours a month.
