What we're looking for

To assist staff and other volunteers running recruitment and information stands at supermarkets, garden centres and shows. There will also be the chance to work at RSPB reserves around the region. Recruiting members to the RSPB is essential to provide support for the Society's valuable conservation work.

The skills you need

To be excellent at engaging the public, with a friendly outgoing nature and the ability to enthuse people about the RSPB's work. You will need to know, or be willing to learn, about the benefits of RSPB membership. You will also need to be able to stand for long periods at events or reserves and be able to carry membership materials

Several volunteers are needed to provide greater flexibility. You will need to be a car owner and be willing to travel to venues within the area. Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary. The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and wildlife, helping to create a better world for all of us. We belong to BirdLife International, the global partnership of bird conservation organisations. Your time and skills could make a real difference to the work of the RSPB and it would be great if you could join us.
