What we're looking for

If you have a passion for wildlife and can spare a little of your time then we would love you to volunteer with us. No specialist wildlife knowledge is required just bags of enthusiasm and a desire to engage with people and with nature. Our events run at different times of the year. Whether you want to give something back to nature outside your day job, or whether you want to volunteer as a whole family for certain events please do get in touch. Responsibilities could include: *Assisting with Guided Walks (helping the Warden/Assistant Warden *Working as a team on an RSPB stand at events *Helping at family friendly events *Helping the events team with ideas, planning and promotion.

The skills you need

Some event experience would be useful but not a necessity as you will receive support from the team. Friendly and enthusiastic personality MS Office skills (again not a necessity but helpful) Real interest in wildlife conservation

Your time

Flexible, from a few hours per month at an event or more regularly. Hours can be discussed
All year round but busiest in summer.

The organisation provides some training along the way and after a steady period of regular volunteering can provide a reference. The RSPB is Europe's biggest conservation charity and there has never been a more crucial time to help to make a difference to nature. A little of your time really does go a long way. Volunteering for the RSPB is a very rewarding experience and you'll be joining a friendly and supportive team here. Some mandatory training will be provided for this role.
