Vacancy type:
Office and administration, Volunteering at home, Community groups
Location:
Various locations

What we're looking for

To co-ordinate the sales activities of the group by organising sales tables of RSPB merchandise and products at local group meetings. It's a flexible role and if you wish you can also attend (usually with another volunteer to help) other events such as village fetes and Christmas fairs. At these occasions we run our successful “lollipop tombola” too. It's great fun getting out and about and meeting members of the public plus of course raising funds and spreading the word about the RSPB.

The skills you need

A flair for sales and friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing, and keen to speak to people. The volunteer would come along to indoor meetings to run the sales table. Goods for sale can be ordered direct from the RSPB (at no cost to yourself), and you bank the proceeds once things have been sold. You would need some space in your home to store the goods (they generally fit in a very large sports bag).

Your time

Minimum:
4-6 hours a month
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

Having fun and knowing you are raising valuable funds to support the conservation work of the RSPB. The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work
