What we're looking for

We want the visitor experience at the RSPB Ribble Discovery Centre to be inspirational and memorable. We are looking for friendly volunteers to welcome and enthuse visitors about the unique Ribble Estuary, highlighting the different visiting birds and other wildlife found in the area. The position will also be assisting in saving nature by maximising shop sales and memberships as we spend 90% of net income on conservation, public education and advocacy. A small part of the role will be maintaining the high level of presentation in the RSPB Ribble Discovery Centre with general housekeeping duties.

The skills you need

You will have a warm and friendly personality and be confident in initiating conversations with people of all ages. A willingness to learn with some general knowledge of nature (no need to be an expert as we can train you in this area). Familiarity with customer care and retail experience an advantage, but not essential.
