What we're looking for

We are looking for friendly, approachable and enthusiastic individuals to engage with our visitors in the RSPB Discovery Centre. Being right at the heart of Weymouth we interact with a diverse range of visitors. Your role is to give an exceptional greeting to everyone that visits our Centre and provide information about the reserve and the RSPB's wider aims.

The skills you need

We are looking for engaging individuals who are not afraid to spark a conversation with the wide ranging audience that visit the reserve. We would like someone who has an open mind to ways of working, who has an eye for detail and can really go that extra mile to make someone's day. Knowledge of wildlife is welcomed, but NOT essential.

Your time

Minimum:
One shift per week, morning or afternoon, flexibility to cover for holiday & illness would be great!
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a vast range of people with the wildlife that can be found at RSPB Radipole Lake! No two days are the same, you may start the day directing a visitor to the best spot to see a Bearded Tit and then end you shift with a round of pond dipping. It's also an opportunity to become part of a friendly and sociable team and to gain an insight into the world of wildlife conservation.
