What we're looking for

Help the RSPB raise vital funds by setting up and supporting a team of volunteers who look after pin badge and collection donation boxes in your local area. Promote these schemes to people and enlist the help and support of new volunteers.

The skills you need

You will be a good motivator, friendly and outgoing and enjoy meeting people, in short you will be happy managing and supporting other people in their volunteering role with the RSPB. You will also have a high level of motivation, good communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer (including knowledge of Microsoft) and an ability to work on own initiative. A full driving licence is essential. You will be responsible for managing and supporting a team of local volunteers looking after pin badge boxes/ collecting boxes. You will provide appropriate support and resources to these volunteers and ensure they have all they need to look after their pin badge boxes/collecting boxes and maximise income from these for the RSPB. You will support these volunteers in line with RSPB and charity commission best practice.

Flexible – Approximately 5 hours a month
All year round

No knowledge of birds or wildlife required! Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be reimbursed where necessary. The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment. We rely upon memberships and donations to fund our work. By volunteering your time and skills, you could make a real difference to the work of the RSPB. Nature is amazing - help us keep it that way.
