What we're looking for

We are looking for someone to help us organise and recruit well motivated volunteers to assist us with our work, particularly face to face engagement with the public, events and walks. By managing the volunteer rotas for The Lodge and Fowlmere reserves you will help keep them staffed and safe for visitors. You will help us ensure that volunteers have rewarding and enjoyable time at RSPB. The role will also involve recording statistics on volunteer hours, and maintaining records.

The skills you need

Good organisational and communication skills, an ability to work as part of a team. Tact and diplomacy are essential. An enthusiasm for, and knowledge of, birds and other wildlife is beneficial but not essential. Computer/database/website skills an advantage.

Your time

Minimum:
1 day per week
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

You will be part of a friendly team and help us co-ordinate a team of volunteers. You will meet lots of like minded people and hopefully make new friends. This is a chance to gain experience in working with people of all ages and to learn new skills and develop existing ones. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a genuine contribution to wildlife conservation. You will gain a valuable insight into the workings of Europe's largest conservation charity.
