Vacancy type:
Helping visitors at our reserves, Retail and marketing
Location:

What we're looking for

We have lots of visitors to Old Moor who are interested in buying a pair of binoculars or a telescope but don't know which options would suit their needs. We want someone who knows what they are talking about but won't blind the visitors with jargon. We want them to enjoy their visit to this super site and your help and advice can help make their visit a memorable one.

The skills you need

If you know about binoculars, telescopes, digital photography and wildlife and love talking about them, this is the opportunity for you. Hopefully you will be enthusiastic about wildlife and enjoy working with the Old Moor team.

Your time

Minimum:
2 days per month, but as often as you like above 2 days
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

This is the perfect chance to work with a friendly team and meet lots of people. You'll get to learn more about the reserve and see how a busy visitor centre is run while developing your knowledge of all the latest brands and developments in the optics world. You will get to work on your face to face and customer service skills through one to one work and group interactions.
