What we're looking for

Choosing the right pair of binoculars or the right telescope can feel overwhelming. We ne someone that can help our customers to find their perfect match. A friendly, knowledgeable person, you will make the customer feel at ease and guide them through the jargon without applying pressure to buy or being too 'salesy', We want all of our visitors to enjoy their visit to this super site and your help and advice can help make their visit a memorable one.

The skills you need

A friendly and approachable demeanour is a must. a retail background is beneficial, but not necessary. If you know about binoculars, telescopes, digital photography and wildlife and love talking about them, this is the opportunity for you. Yu will be enthusiastic about wildlife and enjoy working with the Old Moor team.

What's in it for you?

This is the perfect chance to work with a friendly team and meet lots of people. You'll get to learn more about the reserve and see how a busy visitor centre is run while developing your knowledge of all the latest brands and developments in the optics world. You will get to work on your face to face and customer service skills through one to one work and group interactions. We can provide specialist training from our retail team and Viking optical if required.
