What we're looking for

We want our visitors to really enjoy their visit and this role will enhance their reserve experience and encourage return visits. We need roving reserve guides so that visitors can meet a friendly face representing the RSPB, out and about on the reserve, helping visitors to identify wildlife and pointing them in the right direction. You will be telling people about our amazing work and the benefits of RSPB membership.

The skills you need

Do you love wildlife and like a good chat? We need a friendly, approachable person who enjoys being outside and wants to share their passion for all things wild with visitors to the reserve. While out and about on the reserve you will also be checking the site, collecting litter and looking for anything that may spoil a visit. This role is only suitable for over 18's.

Your time

Minimum:
Saturdays, minimum of half a day per week
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

The opportunity to be the public face of the RSPB out on the reserves and to be an essential part of the reserves team. You will get to learn more about the reserve and enjoy the great outdoors, plus you will be passing on your knowledge and skills to many people of different ages and backgrounds. This is a very fulfilling role, just imagine gathering a group of people together to show them their first ever treecreeper!
