Vacancy type:
Office and administration
Location:
SHQ, Fundraising & Communications

What we're looking for

We have an increasing amount of office work and really need additional support to run the office more efficiently. You will be answering telephone calls and greeting visitors to the office, as well as adhoc day-to-day administration which could include helping with mail, filing, stock taking etc.

The skills you need

The reception and wildlife enquiry service at Scottish Headquarters is currently looking for volunteers to cover the reception on Tuesdays. We would be looking for you to cover either a whole day or a half day. There is a wide range of enquiries received at our reception so the role needs someone with a confident, friendly telephone manner, an interest in birds and other wildlife, and the ability to deal with a range of enquiries. The role does not require you to be an expert, we are looking for people with that interest, and who are happy to take advice when needed. Staff and resources are always on hand to assist.

Your time

Minimum:
One half or full day per week - currently a Tuesday
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

An opportunity to contribute to the effectiveness of RSPB work, meet new people and gain new skills. The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work.
