What we're looking for

We require a very special person to assist our excellent switchboard team in answering calls and meeting and greeting our visitors. These calls can be very diverse from business callers to callers requiring information and help. Our visitors range from delegates arriving for meetings to business visitors including those people in the media. We are staffed by 4 part time staff and require cover occasionally for staff training/holiday and absence. By committing to regular time, to be discussed to suit, you will become familiar with the processes and systems used to provide an efficient Reception Service.

The skills you need

You will need to be computer literate, have excellent listening and communication skills and a confident and polite telephone manner in order to answer and connect calls. You will have the ability to take accurate messages and carry out basic admin tasks. We are looking for a people focused person, friendly, tactful and diplomatic. Enthusiastic in helping to promote the work we do. Reliability is essential.
