What we're looking for

To assist the Lancaster local group in publicising their work through the local media (papers, radio etc). Also ensuring all group events are promoted to as wide a range of the local public as possible via posters, radio and press 'What's On' features etc. Generally ensuring the work of the RSPB and the group is publicised effectively locally. We have 4 committee meetings per year and outdoor meetings most months as well as 7 indoor meetings. Committee members are not required to attend every group meeting as we all have other commitments. Working from home would also be required.

The skills you need

To be friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing, and keen to speak to members and the public about the RSPB and the group. You will need to have good organisational skills. The ability to create posters and having knowledge of posting on Facebook and Twitter would be an advantage.

Your time

4-6 hours per month
All year round
