Collecting Box Volunteer - South East England

Tuesday 22 March 2011
Vacancy type:
Raise money to save nature, Volunteering at home
Various locations

What we're looking for

By placing and managing collecting boxes in shops and busy locations near you, you can potentially raise over £1,000 every year for the RSPB. This is an easy way to raise valuable funds to assist the RSPB's nature and wildlife conservation work. This is an enjoyable opportunity to get out and about in your local area to meet people and chat to them about the RSPB and its work. The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe!

The skills you need

Do you have a few hours to spare every month? We are looking for a friendly and personable person with a high level of motivation, good communication skills and an ability to work on own initiative. We would like you to place and manage five or more collecting boxes in shops and visitor attractions within your community. We will ask you to visit these sites every 6 - 8 weeks (at your convenience) and count and bank the donations at any post office or Pay Point location. You will have regular contact with RSPB staff at the Brighton office or an Area Coordinator in your locality and be willing to report income to them once a month.

Your time

What's in it for you?
