What we're looking for

We are looking for someone to help us maintain our vehicles and other reserve machinery at RSPB Ribble Reserves (Marshside and Hesketh Out Marsh). We also need help on all those little jobs that we never seem to get around to doing, like fixing that squeaky hinge, sanding down benches, putting up new signs, etc. All tasks are vital for the conservation of our reserve and to ensure they are the best for visitors and wildlife.

The skills you need

Ideally practical skills and an interest in machinery/vehicle maintenance, DIY skills, and an eye for detail. Ability to work as part of a small team and happy to work under your own initiative with support from staff. A full and current driving license is essential.

Your time

Minimum:
One day per week/fortnight
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to use your skills and interest in machinery to help your local RSPB reserves. If you like tinkering in a workshop, this is the role for you! Working as part of our team you will get to meet new people and learn more about your local reserves and how they are managed for birds and other wildlife.
