Team Challenge - Island Vegetation Clearance at Freiston Shore

Posted:
Friday 15 February 2019
Vacancy type:
Practical conservation
Location:
Lincolnshire Wash Reserves

What we're looking for

Much of our nature reserve management can only be carried out by hand because heavy machinery could disturb the important wildlife we are working to protect. As an independent registered charity we rely on volunteers to help us carry out this work.

The skills you need

This work can be messy and energetic, but that's all part of the fun! We will provide supervision and any tools or materials necessary to complete the task. No experience is necessary but you do need to be able to do physical work. Volunteers will need plenty of drinking water, wellies, waterproofs and a change of clothes in case of bad weather, sun cream and hats if hot.

Your time

Minimum:
1 day
Duration:
1 day
Period:
September-October

What's in it for you?

You can join regular RSPB staff at RSPB Freiston Shore and become 'Wardens' for a day - making a real contribution to wildlife conservation while working as a team and having fun.
