What we're looking for

We need you to enthuse visitors about Mersehead, wildlife and the work of the RSPB, actively encouraging non-members to join. We are looking for people to offer a warm welcome to visitors in our small, friendly Visitor Centre. Providing them with information they need to make the most out of their visit to the reserve. Other duties will include checking the coffee machine and TV are on and working, answering phone enquiries and taking events bookings, filling bird feeders and cashing up at the end of the day.

The skills you need

We are looking for people who have a warm, approachable and friendly personality and who are confident in initiating conversations with the public. You don't need to be an expert but you do need to be enthusiastic about wildlife and its conservation and be willing to recruit new members to the RSPB.

Your time

One day per week
All year round

What's in it for you?

An opportunity to work as part of a small, friendly team and pass on your enthusiasm about nature to our visitors. You will meet and inspire new people and gain new skills. You will be directly helping spread the message of the vital nature conservation work that the RSPB does both at Mersehead and across UK and internationally.
