What we're looking for

There is something for everyone on Old Moor's events timetable, from Dawn Chorus walks, to Stargazing evenings, to Family activity days. we are looking volunteers to join our events team to deliver events and help the day run smoothly. as a member of the events team, you could be inspiring visitor with nature, helping set the day up or evaluating and planning future events. This is a flexible role, so if you cant commit to a regular day this might be the role for you. Tasks: - To assist the Visitor Experience Manager with the preparation, setting up, planning of events and activities across the site. - To deliver, or support in the delivery of events activities both on and off site. - To enthuse and engage a wide range of audiences from the very young to old. - To support the Visitor Experience Manager in the event evaluation process and provide feedback from volunteers and visitors.

The skills you need

- Friendly and approachable personality. - Helpful disposition, happy to take on different duties depending on the need. - The ability to work independently and use own initiative - Comfortable working in both a busy and quiet environment -Interest in nature conservation or the Dearne Valley or both.

Minimum:
1 shift per month, flexible working on event days.

Our events and activities are a vital part of the reserve and a great way to inspire people to get involved with nature and their local area. It is your opportunity to add to some one's experience and their time spent on site. Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be re-imbursed.
