What we're looking for

Our cafe is a popular and important part of the Minsmere Experience. It offers you the chance to meet new people, work in a small friendly team and support wildlife; as 100% of our profit from the cafe and shop go directly to help save wildlife.

The skills you need

Types of volunteer roles you can choose from: Counter assistant: serving drinks, scones and cakes. Using a touch screen till and ordering register, replenishing cakes and drinks. Cafe assistant: serving food to customers located in our indoor cafe tables or to our outside seating area. Clearing and cleaning tables as required. Washing up by hand and machine and putting away dishes. Filling up cutlery, condiments and fridges. Writing menu boards and completing Quality Assurance checks. Food Preparation Assistant: Help with cold food preparation (sandwiches, salads and toasted items). You must enjoy working with people in a cosy environment. Have excellent customer service and communication skills. Have a clean and tidy appearance and polite manner.

Your time

Minimum:
Twice per month (3-6 hours). Typical shifts 10am-2pm, 11am-3pm, 1pm-5pm
Duration:
Any day of the week, particularly weekends
Period:
All year round
