What we're looking for

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our team and help us deliver our community engagement projects and events. As part of our Saving Nature through People work, we deliver a variety of one off events, long term programmes and volunteering opportunities aimed at all age rangers and people from all backgrounds that also save people through nature. As part of this we work with local primary and secondary schools as well as with youth groups and adult volunteering teams, carrying out varied environmentally themed activities, connecting people with nature. Additionally, we are looking for volunteers who can help us to reach new audiences through an events programme that exceeds visitor expectations!

The skills you need

You will be an enthusiastic and approachable person, with an outgoing personality. You will have a passion for the outdoors and a desire to help others to enjoy it. You will be required to attend informal training giving you an overview of the Eastern Moors Partnership. You may be required to attend child protection and welfare training. You may be offered training opportunities to further expand your role and experience.

In the heart of the stunning Peak District National Park, you will have an opportunity to develop your knowledge of the Eastern Moors as a site managed by two leading national charities, the National Trust and RSPB.
