What we're looking for

Are you good with a hammer and nails? Know your ball pein from your curved claw? Handy with a router and a circular saw? Then we need you! Our new site at RSPB Loch Lomond needs a handyperson to assist with everything from sluice maintenance and repair, to putting up shelving and noticeboards and maintaining our tools and equipment. We'd also be keen to hear from you if you have electrical, plumbing, building or carpentry skills.

The skills you need

General handyperson/DIY skills. certificates for tool use (desirable but not essential) including electrical/plumbing/building qualifications if appropriate. Able to volunteer during office hours. Driving licence helpful.

Notes

This role is based at RSPB Loch Lomond in Gartocharn, West Dunbartonshire. All the training necessary and background information will be provided and since you'll be giving up your time, it's only fair that we offer to re-imburse your travel expenses (up to 25 miles). The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment. We rely upon memberships and donations to fund our work.
