What we're looking for

Scotland is an amazing place for wildlife, holding a wide range of species and habitats. Though, its environment shares the same problems as the wider world: nature is being lost and the problem is right here on our doorstep. RSPB Scotland is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to give a couple of hours of their time to help raise funds for our vital conservation work. By volunteering your time and skills to help collect donations at organised supermarket collections with other volunteers, you are making a vital contribution to this work. We really couldn't do it without you!

The skills you need

We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic with a couple of hours to spare. You should be confident enough to ask passers by if they would "Like to help support the RSPB's work in Scotland" through donating any spare change into our collection buckets. There is no need to have any knowledge of wildlife or conservation, just a want to make a positive difference! We have various collections planned in supermarkets throughout Scotland this year, with more still to be secured. Please get in touch and let us know the geographical area's you would be happy to volunteer within, and we can keep you up to date with relevant upcoming collections.

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to get out and about in your local area and spread the word of the RSPB's fantastic work. It is also an opportunity to meet like minded people and make a positive difference to conservation work in Scotland. Full support will be given and we can help you gain skills as well as a valuable insight into our work.

Appropriate training, equipment and friendly support will be provided. Travel expenses can be reimbursed as necessary. The RSPB is the country's largest nature conservation charity, inspiring everyone to give nature a home. Together with our partners, we protect threatened birds and wildlife so our towns, coast and countryside will teem with life once again. We also play a leading role in a worldwide partnership of nature conservation charities. Our birds and wildlife are increasingly vulnerable in a rapidly-changing world. Together, we can create bigger, better, more joined-up spaces to save our wildlife, and our shared home.
