What we're looking for

We are looking for volunteers to be a presence in the pool hides, to meet and greet visitors and to show them the wonderful birds and wildlife Saltholme has to offer. You will provide help and information and enthuse them about the work we are doing on the reserve.

The skills you need

Can you capture people's imagination? Do you know the difference between a blue tit and a great tit? Or a mute swan and a mallard? Could you tell someone else? Then you might be what we are looking for! We are looking for people with lots of enthusiasm, some knowledge of birds, an outgoing personality with tact and diplomacy. Ideally you will be able to initiate conversations and enjoy meeting a wide range of people.

Your time

Minimum:
1 or more days per month
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to meet people and inspire them about birds, increase communiction and assist the work of the RSPB. You'll be part of a small, friendly team. We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work.
