What we're looking for

Our network of over 160 RSPB local groups are ambassadors for the RSPB in the local community. The RSPB local groups carry out vital fundraising and community engagement work in communities across the UK. We need an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to be the leader of a group. You will be supported in the role by a team of dedicated committee members. You don't have to be a wildlife expert, you just need to have a passion for nature and a willingness to volunteer your time. We are currently only looking for group leaders for our Aylesbury Local Group and our Loughborough local group and out Vale of White Horse local group. The skills you need

Boundless energy and enthusiasm. The ability to communicate with people. We will provide you with local group leader training, this will help you understand the nuts and bolts of the role, as well as giving you tips on running a successful group. You will also have the opportunity to learn from other volunteers in the group.

Your time

Minimum:
8-10 hours a month. Initial 2 day training course.
Duration:
Maximum 5 year term of office
Period:
All year round

Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary. The RSPB works for a healthy environment rich in birds and wildlife.
