What we're looking for

Help the RSPB raise vital funds by supporting a team of volunteers who are looking after pin badge donation boxes in your local area. Promote these schemes to potential new box sites and enlist the help and support of new volunteers.

The skills you need

You will be a good motivator, friendly and outgoing and enjoy meeting people, in short you will be happy managing and supporting other people in their volunteering role with the RSPB. You will also have a high level of self motivation and also be able to motivate others. You will also have good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer knowledge (including experience of Microsoft Excel) is required, as is an ability to work on your own initiative. A full driving licence is essential. You will be responsible for managing and supporting a team of local volunteers looking after pin badge boxes. You will provide appropriate support and resources to these volunteers and ensure they have all they need to look after their pin badge boxes and maximise income from these for the RSPB. You will support these volunteers in line with RSPB and charity commission best practice.

No knowledge of birds required! Appropriate training will be provided and expenses will be reimbursed where necessary. The RSPB speaks out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment. We rely upon memberships and donations to fund our work.
