What we're looking for

Do you love nature and get a buzz out of helping others? Are you looking for ways to utilise your administrative and events skills for a good cause? We need enthusiastic people like you, who are happy to roll up their sleeves and chip in with the Community Fundraising team. Join us and share our dedication to raising funds for RSPB Scotland! Our Community Fundraising success is built entirely on the goodwill of our wonderful volunteers and supporters. We need your help to capitalise on the latest opportunities to raise funds for our vital conservation work. You will support the Community Fundraising Team by • Proactively seeking new opportunities to raise awareness and funds for RSPB Scotland in our local communities • Taking responsibility for managing and updating our CRM and database systems • Researching and soliciting donations for our fundraising auctions and raffles • Thanking our supporters and banking funds • Publicising our local fundraising events and activities • Attending and assisting with the planning of our larger RSPB events The Community Fundraising Team is ambitious. Our amazing volunteers grow financial support for RSPB in our communities and ensure that every person they meet gets a special experience of nature, wherever they are. The skills you need

We're looking for people who have the skill and will to succeed, learn and grow support. If you share our values and care about what you do and how you do it, then we want to hear from you! Essential • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Fully computer literate and confident in Microsoft Word and Excel in particular. • Enthusiasm for smashing targets, fundraising and inspiring people about nature! • Strong work ethic, confidence to use your initiative and work well with a team • Ability to stay calm under pressure • Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills • Attention to detail with the ability to ensure that our activities run according to strict guidelines • Willingness to ensure all our donors receive the best service Desirable • Some experience of managing a team and achieving fundraising targets • Customer service and cash-handling experience
