What we're looking for

We are looking for volunteer help in Celebration Wood at Dove Stone. There will be a lot of variety ranging from planting memorial trees, watering, litter picking, strimming paths, wild flower planting and generally keeping an eye on everything we have created so far.

The skills you need

Enthusiasm and an interest in conservation are essential. You'll need to be physically fit and able to carry trees, buckets of water and dig holes. As Dove Stone has very little shelter, you'll be in your element when out in the elements! You will need an up-to-date tetanus injection. You'll also need tact and good people skills when speaking with bereaved families. A First Aid certificate is desirable.

Your time

Minimum:
Flexible - but 2 or 3 times a month ideal.
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

A fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and make a genuine contribution to wildlife conservation. You will have the chance to learn new skills and meet like minded people, all whist enjoying the benefits of working outdoors, surrounded by beautiful scenery and doing something good for nature.
