What we're looking for

At Bempton Cliffs, school and youth groups book onto sessions in which they learn all about and are inspired by the beautiful and amazing wildlife on the reserve; enabling them to make their own connection to nature. As a Learning Assistant you will lead our education sessions using resources, games and play to engage children.

The skills you need

Essential •Approachable, with a friendly demeanour •Enjoy being part of a team •Ability to communicate well and listen •Enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation •Passionate about inspiring children •Basic ecological knowledge •Ability to be on the go all day •Willingness to undertake appropriate training and personal development Desirable •Be confident in dealing with tricky situations •Familiarity with Bempton Cliffs •Aware of aims of environmental education •First Aid certificate •Knowledge of some RSPB work •Ability to work with large groups •Experience of working with children •Own transport •CRB checked, or willing to be checked
