What we're looking for

Practical conservation is vital to our work, and we need to make sure our equipment is maintained to an excellent standard! We are looking for someone to help us maintain our workshop, vehicles and other reserve machinery at Exminster Marshes. We also need help with a variety of other small, but important, jobs – like sharpening tools, fixing signs, etc. All tasks are vital for the conservation of our reserves and to ensure they are the best for visitors and wildlife.

The skills you need

Ideally, a good all round knowledge of tools, machinery and DIY, as well as the ability to work both as part of a small team and to work under your own initiative with support from the team. A full and current driving license is essential. Trailer experience would also be an advantage.

Your time

Minimum:
At least 2-3 days per month, ideally once a week
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
Year round

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to use your skills and interests to help your local RSPB reserves. Working as part of our team will give you the chance to meet, and get to know, new people and learn more about your local reserves, and how they are managed for birds and other wildlife.
