Car Maintenance Volunteer - Lancaster

Wednesday 20 July 2016
Vacancy type:
Office and administration

What we're looking for

Our fleet cars are essential in allowing staff and volunteers to travel freely around the region to locations that are difficult to access via public transport. They also enable us to transport bulky equipment such as binoculars, telescopes, and RSPB literature to the many events we attend across the region. What we really need is someone who can ensure that these cars run smoothly and are safe to drive at all times. This is where you come in!

The skills you need

Like to help us keep our fleet cars gleaming, shiny and in good health? Can you spare one morning/afternoon once a month? If so we would love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who can coordinate the up keep of our vehicles. This will include: Managing the wash and internal valet of the cars Performing basic maintenance, safety and equipment checks on each car. You will need to have a full UK driving licence and be happy to work under your own steam with support from staff.

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to use your skills and interest in cars to contribute towards the charitable work of the RSPB.
