What we're looking for

Exminster Marshes is a fantastic wet grassland nature reserve located next to the Exe estuary and only 20 minutes from Exeter. We require a enthusiastic volunteer warden to help in the areas of habitat management and reserve maintenance, these tasks are vital to the conservation and improvement of this special site. You will assist the team on the reserve with a range of tasks such as fencing and gate repairs, strimming, track maintenance and wildlife surveys.

The skills you need

We are seeking one person who is prepared to commit for 1 day per week. The days are flexible, excluding Thursdays, and there is the chance to increase the days if desired. The ability to work independently and proactively is essential. Must be physically fit and healthy and willing to get stuck in to a range of practical tasks. Full driving licence required. Some DIY, basic outdoor skills or knowledge of machinery would be advantageous, although full training will be given. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills is essential.
