What we're looking for

Do you remember the thrill of finding your first ladybird? As part of the RSPB's aim to connect as many children as possible to nature we are visiting primary schools and Early Years organisations to deliver our inspiring nature activities. You will be working with children in their school playgrounds. Giving children the chance to explore and learn about the nature around them. Helping them find mini-beasts. Encouraging them to use their senses to discover the sights, sounds, smells and textures of the plants and animals nearby. Supporting them to discover nature's treasures and find the words to talk about them. Your Schools Outreach Officer will support and train you at all stages. You will get all the resources you need and any expenses will be paid

The skills you need

An interest in wildlife and a love for nature Experience or desire to work with children Enthusiasm and willingness to communicate with adults and children Good organisational skills Able to commit to 2 days a month.
