What we're looking for

Our North Kent Marshes nature reserves, which include Northward Hill, Shorne Marshes and Cliffe Pools, provide vital habitat for a wide variety of birds and wildlife. In order to manage these reserves effectively we rely on help from volunteers who enjoy getting stuck in with practical conservation and maintenance work. You'll be working with our permanent reserve team and other volunteers with a variety of tasks ranging from vegetation clearance, path maintenance, installing bird boxes, fencing, and much more! You will be given a health & safety induction to the site and training when using specific tools. Safety equipment will be provided but if you have your own safety boots please bring them.

The skills you need

• Enthusiasm and an interest in conservation • Happy to work outside for a full day. • Reliable • Up to date tetanus status • To enjoy working as part of a team

Your time

Minimum:
Each Tuesday and/or Thursday, 9am – 4pm, although we can accommodate less frequent volunteers.
