What we're looking for

To support the woodlands team on delivery of conservation management to restore and maintain our fabulous Mawddach woodlands. You'll be volunteering alongside our Warden at times and with a team of volunteers at others. This will involve practical work such as scrub and ditch clearance and pond maintenance. Seasonally there will be monitoring, such as undertaking butterfly transects & nest box monitoring. This role will involve leading, energising and directing our group of fortnightly work party volunteers as well as helping to recruit new volunteers.

The skills you need

You'll need enthusiasm, practical skills and ability to work in physically demanding, steep, rough terrain in all weathers. You'll need to be able to work both as part of a team and independently. You'll need good people skills and leadership qualities in order to help direct our enthusiastic volunteers.

Your time

1 day per week or fortnight
All year round
