What we're looking for

We looking a keen volunteer to support the regional delivery of local and national campaigns delivered by the Eastern England RSPB communications team. We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good understanding of print and digital communication channels, energy, and creative flair to assist in: - Developing regional campaign strategies. - Delivering campaigns through digital and print channels. - Monitoring and evaluating the success of individual campaigns. You will develop an all-round understanding of how a busy, fast-paced communications team delivers campaigns, working with many different internal departments. Experience of using social media professionally and copywriting for blogs and features are desirable skills, however training can be provided. You will play a key part in increasing campaign participation across the region, helping the team to meet regional communication objectives. The role will operate on a themed campaign-by-campaign basis. Some office days will be required, however some of the role can be delivered from home.

The skills you need

Essential: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to tell a story. - Experience in working within a communications / marketing team. - Experience working with colleagues or volunteers to reach a shared goal. - An understanding of the key considerations when utilising social media, print publications, and blogs to communicate with supporters. - Plenty of creativity and energy. Desirable: - Experience of using Google Analytics, bitly, and Facebook and Twitter Analytics to monitor performance.

Most aspects of this role can be carried out from the comfort of your own home, however if you'd prefer you can base yourself in our Norwich office you are most welcome to. Some office days will be essential.
