Receptionist/Wildlife Enquiries Officer

A Receptionist / Wildlife Enquiries Officer volunteer is required to take calls from RSPB staff and members, as well as from the general public. General office admin will also be part of the role.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a keen volunteer to take calls and offer advice to members of the general public regarding wildlife issues and conservation as well as the charity itself. Taking calls from members of RSPB staff, redirecting calls and taking messages will also be a part of the role as well as carrying out general office admin.

The skills you need

Ability to communicate clearly and confidently over the phone. Basic computer literacy. Knowledge of nature and conservation. Flexibility to handle adhoc nature of role (might only be able to give short notice) and confidence to work without supervision once guidance given.

Learning modules will also be made available to you as a volunteer regarding the legality of working for a charity and working with the public.
