What we're looking for

Our volunteer numbers are growing, with people involved in the many roles we have in practical conservation, administration, events, membership, surveying and more. We're looking for someone to be a leader and help us to manage and co-ordinate our fantastic team! With an ever increasing team, it's important for us to be able to co-ordinate and communicate with our volunteers, through organisation and management, allowing us to continue to deliver high impact work on Aylesbeare Common, support our volunteers are ensure we are fully compliant with data. This exciting role includes many different responsibilities, including: - Interviewing perspective volunteers, and getting them started - Being our voice and the central point for enquires from volunteers (new/existing) - Working with Volunteering Development Officers at the local office to keep the team as well informed and supported as possible - Filling shift vacancies at hides and events - Ensuring the team is feeling well supported and appreciated in their roles - Keeping data secure and accurate by processing and registering volunteer forms - Updating roles and logging training through our Volunteer Management System - Recording volunteer hours

The skills you need

This role calls for someone with leadership and management skills, who is highly organized and a 'people person'. Someone who is able to listen to problems and work out suitable solutions, be a good judge of character and with good communication skills to keep in touch with the reserve team, head office team and main workforce. Experience in doing interviews is desirable, but not essential. This role can be done from home, but may require visits to the office to access files and use the volunteer management software as and when needed.

Notes
