What we're looking for

RSPB membership really is the lifeblood of the Society and underpins every single thing we do. It helps us fund nature conservation work here and across the UK - not only the ongoing land management of our reserves, but also by creating and enhancing magnificent wild spaces for nature and people to enjoy. We need you to help inspire people about all the work we do and encourage them to join the RSPB as members! You will assist various teams in running recruitment and information stands at various reserve events and regularly at our visitor Centre at Bowling Green Marsh and Darts Farm Shop.

The skills you need

You'll need to have the confidence to strike up conversations with strangers and the ability to enthuse people about the RSPB's work. You will need to know, or be willing to learn, about the benefits of RSPB membership. You will also need to be able to stand for long periods and be able to carry membership materials. You will need to be a car owner and be willing to travel to venues within the area.

Your time

Minimum:
3 days a month (2 at Bowling Green Marsh Reserve, 1 at Darts Farm Shop)
Duration:
Ongoing
Period:
All year round

What's in it for you?

This role gives you the chance to pass on and share your own passion for wildlife and stories to others, and inspire them, and hear the same back from them. It's a great opportunity for you to develop and learn new skills, as well as build on existing ones. You'll be able to work, meet and talk with a variety of like-minded people, get the chance to put your skills to the test and make a massive difference to our conservation efforts.
