What we're looking for

Do you have a passion for wildlife and nature conservation? Do you love sharing your excitement of the natural world and helping people to connect with nature? Event Volunteers assist the Visitor Experience team during the delivery of events, group visits and educational sessions at Arne nature reserve. Visitors come for a range of hands on activities, such as bug hunting, guided nature walks, pre-school and school sessions, and, in the summer, our Big Wild Sleep Outs. Our events programme aims to give young people and adults the chance to get close to nature, and you can be part of that exciting journey of discovery. We are looking for people to support our Visitor Team with making sure visitors get the most out of their visit. Arne nature reserve is located within the Purbeck Peninsular and has a great variety of habitats: woodland, heathland, saltmarsh and coastline. The reserve is teeming with wildlife, thanks to years of successful conservation work.
