What we're looking for

We would like a volunteer to join the Wildlife team in Supporter Services, helping us to answer the emails and letters we get regarding our biggest annual campaign, Big Garden Birdwatch. We receive lots of correspondence before, during and after the Big Garden Birdwatch, regarding how to take part, how to submit results, bird and other wildlife identification, feeding advice and how to make gardens more wildlife friendly. The Supporter Services department of the RSPB is a front-line customer service team and we aim to provide a prompt and knowledgeable answer to queries. Our aim is to engage people in regard to wildlife and this role would be key to us fulfilling this objective, by reaching as many people as we can and connecting them to nature. Big Garden Birdwatch is the world's largest garden wildlife survey, with just under half a million people taking part across the UK each year. This survey is an excellent opportunity for the RSPB to help people to connect with nature. If you love nature and would like to gain experience with the largest conservation organisation in Europe, advising with the public and our supporters about wildlife, then we would love to hear from you.
