What we're looking for

The RSPB and BirdLife International has a duty to ensure appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures are in place across the organisations. The RSPB has comprehensive policies and procedures in place for UK operations, so we want to apply the same standard to our International operations. We are looking to recruit a Safeguarding expert/consultant to work alongside our Safeguarding and Learning & Development Teams to develop appropriate policies, procedures and trainings for the BirdLife International Partnership and staff to help ensure compliance with good practice. Materials exist online which will assist with the production of the Good Practice Guide and training programme and all outputs will need to be in accordance with the standards advocated by Bond who are a coordinating body for UK development NGOs.

The skills you need

We are looking for someone knowledgeable in the field of Safeguarding who can provide specialist expert advice on all matters relating to the Safeguarding of children and adults at risk. You will have knowledge of and practical experience in advising on Safeguarding matters at a strategic level and preferably with relevant international experience.

Your time

Minimum:
1 - 2 days per week
Duration:
Period of 2-3 months starting as soon as possible

All year round
