Facility Maintenance Volunteer - Bowling Green Marsh

We need someone to come to The Lookout once a week to get it in tip top shape ready for the visitors at the weekend. Full training provided!

What we're looking for

We want enthusiastic volunteers to help meet our reserve estate facilities commitments. All the tasks are absolutely vital for smooth operation of the sites, which will help us to meet our conservation commitments and allow us to retain good repair and safety of our facilities. Tasks include: testing the fire alarm, checking the fire extinguisher, ensuring the garden is neat and tidy (not gardening yourself - unless you want to of course!), brushing and mopping the floor, wiping down the windows and cleaning the hot drinks service area. Full training provided along with clear standards.

The skills you need

No practical skills needed but an eye for cleanliness and a willing attitude to get stuck in. All training and tools will be provided along with ongoing support. The majority of this wok will be self-led so we need someone trustworthy and responsible. For this reason we will require 2 references when you register.

Opportunities to move to get involved in other areas the most obvious being the public facing welcome volunteers based out of the Lookout. Also training opportunities in First Aid, Safeguarding and Data Protection.
