What we're looking for

With over 100,000 visitors a year, Bempton Cliffs is a very busy reserve. We aim to deliver first class customer care at all times, as well as giving a home to nature. Visitors can hire binoculars, discovery backpacks and follow the reserve's trails, all collected and returned to the Welcome Desk. As an information assistant volunteer you will be the friendly face who provides visitors with these items, including the completion of hire paperwork. You will not be required to carry out till work or to handle money.

The skills you need

Essential •Approachable, with a friendly demeanour •A desire to help people and exceed expectations through excellent customer care •Enjoy being part of a team •Ability to communicate well and listen •Able to work calmly in a busy environment •Able to work during busiest times (11am – 3pm) Desirable •Awareness of Health and Safety at work •Familiarity with Bempton Cliffs/enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation

Background information training will be provided. Travel expenses can be reimbursed (up to a 25 mile radius).
