Litter Picker

In summer our nature park gets an increase in leisure visitors, which unfortunately means an increase in litter. We need help with the collection of litter around the site during summer holidays.

What we're looking for

We require volunteers to help with the collection of litter around the site, especially during the school summer holidays.

The skills you need

Ability to work safely with different types of litter, mainly plastic and paper. Ability to assess hazards and deal with appropriately. A good level of fitness is essential. A friendly and outgoing nature is needed. The ability to interact with visitors of all ages is important. An up-to-date tetanus injection is advised.

Notes

Appropriate equipment and safety briefings will be provided. You will have access to the RSPB's online training, and may be required to undertake some short inline courses from time to time. You will also have access to opportunities to learn new skills and extend your knowledge of the natural environment. Travel expenses will be re-imbursed where necessary.
