What we're looking for

The pioneering Water for Farmers & Wildlife project is investigating how we can integrate temporary wetlands into agriculture. We are looking at benefits to productivity, flood risk management and biodiversity. By volunteering on this project you will contribute to the data used to analyse the benefits of temporary wetlands for our birds.

The skills you need

• Excellent bird ID (farmland and waders) • A methodical approach to surveying and ability to follow methods provided • A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport (depending on the sites)

Your time

Minimum:
1 survey per month per site
Duration:
August 2019-2021
Period:
April to July

What's in it for you?

You will be involved in a pioneering approach to managing our land. You will work directly with the Project Manager to monitor temporary wetlands, and be invited on site visits and other events relating to the project.
