What we're looking for

We are ramping up the visitor experience offer at Middleton lakes and looking for more people to join our team to help connect people with nature. We are looking for a creative, organised, self-driven person to assist us in bringing our ideas to life! The role will involve a variety of people engagement tasks including developing self-guided trails and meeting + greeting the public. It will also involve practical tasks such as researching + installing natural play items and assisting in management of the welcome area. The role also includes administrative tasks such as quality assurance checks, data recording and social media posts. This could be a very fulfilling role for someone looking for variety and a creative challenge.

The skills you need

The skills you need • Enthusiasm for connecting people with nature • A drive to provide first rate visitor experience • Attention to detail and caring about the quality of your work • Enjoys thinking creatively and collaboratively about ideas and the ways to turn them into a reality • Content in your ability to use spreadsheets for data recording • Happy in your ability to work on your own and in a small team • Happy to carry out practical tasks which require digging, bending + lifting • Able to problem solve and think on your feet. • Basic computer skills are needed for required compulsory training on data and health + safety compliance as well as email communications and online ways of working • Happy to be flexible, splitting your time working from home and on the reserve

Notes

Time to fulfil this role is the equivalent hours of 1-2 days a week which can be flexible as not all your time will be required on the reserve. Some of the role will involve working from home. Busiest periods for visitor engagement are school holiday times.
