What we're looking for

Lancaster RSPB group is looking for someone who can co-ordinate the annual programme of outings, getting people to places where they can see, enjoy and learn about nature and wildlife. You will arrange for volunteers to lead walks and share their enthusiasm for nature. You will also look after practicalities like booking transport for coach outings and liaising with reserve wardens where applicable. Members of the group will help with suggestions for walks and other outdoor activities and new ideas will be welcome.

The skills you need

You'll need enthusiasm, some knowledge of, and good ideas about, the best places to visit. You will need good organisational skills and be able to plan ahead to create a programme for the year. You will be supported in the role by the group committee and by RSPB staff.

Your time

4-6 hours per month
All year round
